Ag Foghlaim Taobh Amuigh
Déanann muid ár ndícheall taithí foghlamtha a chruthú chun go bhfaigheann gach páiste taithí foghlamtha atá nuálach agus éagsúil. Is forbairt spreagúil polathollán nua a fháil inár scoil, a fheabhsóidh go mór deiseanna foghlama lasmuigh. Soláthraíonn an polathollán spás faoi chosaint inar féidir le daltaí torthaí, glasraí agus plandaí a fhás i rith na bliana, beag beann ar an aimsir. Tacaíonn sé le foghlaim phraiticiúil in ábhair ar nós eolaíochta, tíreolaíochta agus teicneolaíochta bia, agus spreagann sé obair foirne, freagracht agus tuiscint ar inbhuanaitheacht ag an am céanna. Trí aire a thabhairt don polathollán, gheobhaidh daltaí scileanna praiticiúla agus meas níos doimhne ar an áit as a dtagann bia, rud a fhágfaidh go mbeidh an fhoghlaim tarraingteach agus spraíúil do na páistí.
Brat Glas
Tá ár scoil thar a bheith bródúil as a 7ú Brat Glas a bhaint amach, a bhronnadh den chéad uair in 2018. Cuirimid béim mhór ar athchúrsáil, caomhnú fuinnimh, agus aire a thabhairt don chomhshaol i ngach gné de shaol na scoile. Oibríonn pobal iomlán na scoile le chéile chun ár dtimpeallacht a chosaint, a fheabhsú agus freagracht a ghlacadh as. We strive to create a learning experience that is innovative and diverse for every child. We recently installed a new polytunnel at our school, which is an exciting development, that will greatly enhance outdoor learning opportunities. The polytunnel provides a protected space where students can grow fruits, vegetables, and plants all year round, regardless of the weather. It supports hands-on learning in subjects such as science, geography, and food technology, while also encouraging teamwork, responsibility, and an understanding of sustainability. By caring for the polytunnel, students will gain practical skills and a deeper appreciation for where food comes from, making learning both engaging and meaningful
Green flag
Our school is extremely proud of achieving its 7th Green Flag, first awarded in 2018. We place a strong emphasis on recycling, energy conservation, and caring for the environment in all aspects of school life. The entire school community works together to protect, enhance, and take responsibility for our surroundings. We are currently focusing on the theme of the ocean, exploring ways to protect marine life and improve the environment around our seas so that they remain healthy and sustainable for the future.
The Green Schools Programme is a leading international environmental education initiative that encourages environmental responsibility and promotes awareness through positive actions, helping to build a more sustainable future.
